KSG recommend this course to enhance writing skills in preparation for the GCSE exams for all boards.
The key highlights and contents that students will learn are:
- How to approach on the topic, structure and present the work
- Think about your reader
- Creating mind-map or spider gram to help organise your creative writing task
- Have a Broad Understanding of the Subject
- Different characters, settings, theme, plot – explanation and approach
- Using eye-catching openers to enhance our writing and delve the reader in our writing
- Do Something Different
- Think of the Three Act Structure – Setup, confrontation & resolution
- Defining various literary techniques and terminologies used in the writing
- Using conjunctions and adjectives to light up our sentences and make them more sophisticated
- Using correct grammar, powerful vocabulary, idioms and/or phrasal verbs to impress examiner
- Add Interesting Details about the Setting and Location
- Using figurative language and rhetorical techniques to bring our literary work to life including imagery, simile, extended metaphors, alliteration, hyperbole, onomatopoeia and personification
- Using colourful language, meaningful dialogue to make our descriptions more vivid
- Using climax/tension to entertain the reader (creating Tension or Conflict)
- Planning and organising writing
Fees
- Fees for the GCSE ‘Creative Writing’ Course are £180.
- £90 is payable on registration and the balance £90 is due a week before the course starts.
Existing KSG students receive a 10% discount.
*Cancellations are subject to a charge of £60 per booking if this occurs within 7 days of the course starting. A £30 cancellation fee will be applied otherwise
